Cert/Qual Product List

Please note: CH = CableHome; D= DOCSIS; PC=PacketCable

Beginning with Certification Wave 28, products may be awarded certification/qualification of multiple specifications through the CableLabs "combined certification program." Note that combined certification will not apply retroactively to any product certified prior to certification Wave 28, unless that product is submitted for recertification.

Disclaimer: The model number, software version and hardware version information is provided by the vendor when submitting product for certification and CableLabs assumes no responsibility for accuracy or completeness of that information.

Development Lab

The CableLabs® Development Laboratory facilities were established to accelerate product development for devices that are intended to interoperate under the CableLabs DOCSIS®, PacketCable™, CableHome®, and/or OpenCable™ specifications.

Certification Process

Working in cooperation with cable operators and cable equipment manufacturers, Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (“CableLabs”) has developed groups of various specifications to facilitate the manufacture of interoperable cable devices, including cable modems, set-top boxes, digital televisions, and various telephony devices (“Specifications”). Interoperable devices based on common specifications facilitate consumer choice, widespread deployment of new technologies, and lower costs to both cable operators and consumers.

NDAs

A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) obligates each company to maintain the confidentiality of any non-public information they receive. NDAs also allow vendor companies to subscribe to technical e-mail reflectors, attend vendor meetings, and to become involved in project working groups.

Spec Development

Equipment manufacturers and other vendors have been important contributors to CableLabs specifications over the years. CableLabs and its member companies encourage interested vendors to participate in specification development for each project.

Security Documents

CableLabs manages specifications (e.g., DOCSIS®, PacketCable™, CableHome®, and OpenCable™) that require embedding digital certificates in devices at the time of manufacture. These certificates provide the basis for a number of security services including data confidentiality, content integrity, and hardware authentication.

Guidelines

Guidelines

CableLabs strives to provide accurate and relevant information to our vendor and member communities in the best format possible. This area is designed to provide information related to DOCSIS®, PacketCable™, CableHome®, and OpenCable™ certification testing and specification programs.

Guidelines referenced in the Certification/Qualification area generally do not apply to UDCP products. If you are building unidirectional digital cable-ready products, please refer to the CableLabs UDCP site.
